Yes it’s another Xbox 360 report but not what you all expected. News travel fast when it comes to massive console releases. After one day of actual operation occurrences of what is called now the “Xbox screen of death” has been spotted in USA. The crash comes with the official error number E74 and asks for the player to seek MS’s technical support. The message is also written in multiple languages. The error has been also entered in the net’s free encyclopaedia (wikipedia) and the picture of the error message has been speeding through the internet There is no way to be sure how legit this is but generally Gooogle before you buy as you would always do when it comes to the first bunch of any release.

Xbox 360 games are already shipped to stores in the US, despite the fact that the console will not be released until November 22nd. Both GameStop and EB Games are listing Kameo: Elements of Power as available to ship within 24 hours, and various gamers report receiving it. Meanwhile, Perfect Dark Zero and Project Gotham Racing 3 are expected to go on sale more than a week in advance of the console's US launch.Games going on sale this far in advance of their home platforms is unusual, but it's not the first time games have made it out before consoles - some PSP games, for example, were widely available in the few days prior to the console's launch in the US and similarly in the UK.

Images of Microsoft’s Xbox 360 final design appeared on the internet. Even though these are renderings and not actual pictures sources have confirmed that they are authentic. Sources spoken to who have already seen the hardware themselves confirmed that this image - despite being a render rather than a photo - is indeed the official finalised design of Xbox 360. Other scant details have also been revealed by misc sources. Apparently, as well as removable media for saving games, gamers will be able to save games onto their home computers via LAN networks. Whether or not this will allow game saves to be swapped is still unclear however, as saves may be marked to users’ Gamertags. Lastly, while the render of the finalised design is white, sources say that the outer shell of the Xbox 360 will be removable, allowing gamers to personalise their console with a wide range of alternate colours and designs. Specific colours aren’t yet confirmed, although the chrome model partially unveiled on viral marketing website Ourcolony.net yesterday is a genuine possibility. As more info appears on the net we will keep you posted, if not then we are prolly stuck on a wow guild raid!!).

Xenon, XBox Next or XBox 2 are just some of the names, describing Microsoft's next-generation console, that you may have come across. Many industry sources are claiming now that Microsoft is planning to add to that list the name, XBox 360. The change of heart by Microsoft does not mean that the name is final but that we may see a lot more of it during the pre-launch period as Microsoft, indirectly, tests the waters with it.

Portions of Doom 3 have been retooled for the Xbox, though Microsoft described these changes as very subtle. one example we were given is that the game's opening sequence--a long walk through a calm outer space base--has been shorted down to about two minutes or so, which should get players into the gunning action much quicker.
The game's control also has a few good tricks up its sleeve. The left trigger is used as a run button, you'll have a dedicated flashlight button, and you'll be able to use the D pad to quickly select one of four weapons. This quick select can be reconfigured as you proceed through the game, so you'll always be able to ensure that your four best weapons are readily available.
Head down to Gamespot which checked out how the Doom 3 Xbox port was coming along to read more about it.

Although there were no Xbox 2 announcements at last year’s E3, a few tidbits regarding the next generation hardware were revealed by an effusive J Allard. In an interview with CVG, Allard talked about the “unbelievable amount of raw computing power” that will be available in the Xbox successor and how next generation software will take advantage of it.
Particularly, Allard described a new technique called “procedural synthesis”; special programs that create realistic bricks, trees, and other environmental objects, leveraging game artists from spending long hours creating repetitive geometry. Today, we are bringing you a detailed analysis of a recent patent application made by Microsoft, which was approved on December 30th by the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Microsoft aims to bring in Xbox 2 at a too-low-to-resist price point, and months ahead of PS3. Microsoft has quietly circulated the specifications for its next-generation Xbox video-game console, indicating how the company plans to carry on its war against dominant player Sony.

A number of gaming industry sites are reporting that Microsoft will show its next console, allegedly codenamed 'Xenon', at the Game Developers Conference in San Jose next March - ahead of Sony unveiling the PS3 at E3 in May. No one knows for sure when the Xbox 2 will hit the market, but most folks have been counting on the console being a 2005 deliverable. The rumored code name for Xbox 2 is Xenon. And we know IBM's PPC chip will be at the heart of the system. Guess we'll have to wait for San Jose for more details
It's not unlikely that Microsoft would choose GDC as the venue for its first official talk about the successor to Xbox, since the original announcement of its entry into the console market was made by chairman Bill Gates at GDC in March 2000 - almost exactly 20 months before the Xbox launched in North America.
